Gracepoint After Five Launch
Necessity has worked in such a way that we’re going to be quite serious about launching this blog. Necessity, you ask? Yes. There is a burning in our veins to add one more blog to the already bloated blogosphere, contributing our voice to an already information-ed out generation.
Actually, what’s really driving us is that we’re three guys who do design for a living. Conrad’s the Director of Design at Ask.com, Abe’s ditching his MFA at Academy of Art for a little while, during which time he’s freelancing as a UX Designer, and Kevan (that’s me) directs user experience at iParadigms.
We’ve got some cool projects making their way to the open-source world. We think plenty of folks–especially non-profits and smaller design shops–could benefit from things like:
- image optimization tool to optimize page load times
- open source Craigslist-type listing for classifieds
- open source wiki that’s easy to use, fast, easy to set up, easy to manage permissions, for the not-so-web-savvy to speed up technology adoption for your users
- and more…
Along the way, we’ll talk shop about design and things we’re into. Hopefully, it’ll be a beneficial ride for all of us. Looking forward to it.
