Gracepoint After Five

A design blog by those of us with day jobs

About Gracepoint After Five

Gracepoint After Five is a design blog, run by several guys who play the part of design professionals by day, who think real life starts after 5, the moment we step out of the glass doors and into the world, away from the pixels and bytes.

Nonetheless, we’re all-around good guys who enjoy:

  • technology
  • design
  • HTML 5
  • geeky stuff
  • code
  • Javascript libraries
  • frameworks
  • page load optimization
  • Photoshop
  • Ruby on Rails
  • color palettes
  • and more, although not necessarily in that order.

Of course, we each of us hold onto the elements in that list with varying degrees of personal interest and passion. This author, in particular, thinks most of that is nerd stuff and not suitable for polite table conversation.

Gracepoint After Five was started by those of us who’ve got plenty to say about our work, our jobs, and the design we’re engaged in each day.

We also happen to have made Gracepoint in Berkeley our spiritual home. It’s a faith community, led by Pastor Ed and Kelly Kang, where we’ve found meaningful work and relationships, and discovered the biblical vision for human flourishing.

But, we do love design and technology too. And just need a place where we can spill our guts with all the design mojo that’s bursting within us.
